On 2-3 April 2025, Milan will be the host of a new event, Heat Pump Technologies, the first international Exhibition and Conference dedicated to heat pumps and related technologies enabling the energy transition. Organised by RX Italy at Allianz MiCo Milan, it stems from the expertise and market insight of MCE - Mostra Convegno Expocomfort, the leading exhibition for civil and industrial plant engineering, renewable energy and the water industry.
The main theme of Heat Pump Technologies will be the challenge of decarbonisation and the role of heat pumps. Two days of professional enrichment, dedicated to the entire value chain, will provide a unique opportunity for the audience to delve into new scenarios, generate strategic ideas and identify emerging trends, with the participation of internationally renowned keynote speakers. Exhibiting companies will have the opportunity to display the latest technologies and solutions for energy conservation and environmental respect, ensuring maximum comfort. The participation formula is designed to minimise organisational efforts and maximise networking opportunities.
The show will feature various types of heat pumps (such as air-to-air, air-to-water, water-to-water, and geothermal) for residential, commercial, and industrial use. It will also showcase technologies for energy management and control, photovoltaics, storage, inverters, building automation, electric charging stations, and more.
Target audience
Heat Pump Technologies targets all stakeholders involved in the energy transition: design firms, facility managers, contractors, installation and distribution companies, institutions, and public administration technical staff.
Format
The new RX Italy event focuses on content and value. The agenda will include two Main Conferences, to be held in the mornings, featuring industry experts, stakeholders, and representatives from national and international institutions. They will take turns on stage to discuss the challenges and prospects of a strategic sector for Italy and Europe.
A special guest will be the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA), the voice of the European heat pump sector in Brussels. An exclusive and specially commissioned research by the Energy & Strategy Group of the Polytechnic University of Milan will be presented to identify the developments and opportunities offered by these technologies.
During the two-day event, vertical workshops will be held to discuss, provide, and exchange information and suggest specific actions to sustain a significant increase in the industry.
“Heat pumps will be crucial in the coming years in reducing atmospheric pollutant emissions and facilitating the energy transition while saving on energy costs,’ says Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of RX Italy. “Heat Pump Technologies originated from the aim of organising an event with a conference focus on this sector to explore the trends and regulations that will impact the decisions of designers, installers, distributors, energy and facility managers, as well as technicians from public bodies regarding the use of heat pumps as a critical component in the future energy system."
