Singapore – Accor, the largest international hospitality group in Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific, has announced a landmark deal with Worldwide Hotels Group, the largest hotel operator in Singapore in terms of room number and Accor’s long-standing partner, to bring the world’s largest Mercure hotel – with a total of 989 keys – to Singapore.

Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is set to open in Q1 2024.

The deal strengthens the already solid partnership between Accor and Worldwide Hotels Group, having recently signed an agreement for Novotel Singapore on Kitchener.

Carolyn Choo, CEO of Worldwide Hotels Group, said, “We are thrilled to expand our working relationship with Accor, who are a strong partner for us. With Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, we will continue to create exceptional guest experiences for the informed, cosmopolitan traveller.”

Conveniently located on 8 Club Street, Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is positioned between the historic charm of Chinatown and the vibrant energy of the Central Business District (CBD).

Guests can experience the buzzing gastronomic and entertainment scene of one of Singapore’s hippest enclaves, explore historic temples and quaint shophouses, and feast on authentic local delights at nearby restaurants and hawker centres.

Directly connected to two stations, Chinatown and Telok Ayer, on two main transit lines, the hotel provides easy access to the CBD and well-known shopping enclaves and local attractions in Singapore.
