Thailand Building Fair 2023 Returns This Week With A Spotlight On Smart And Sustainable Urban Spaces

Bangkok, Thailand – Thailand Building Fair will return to the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) from 1 – 3 November 2023 to showcase the latest in intelligent and environmentally friendly building and lighting technologies. Running in parallel with Secutech Thailand, these two fairs will host over 200 exhibitors from the ASEAN region and beyond. A diverse fringe programme covering pertinent topics in real-estate, architecture, and net-zero construction will also run alongside the fair.

Under the theme of “Building the future of work and living”, Thailand Building Fair will welcome a wide array of exhibitors and visitors from across the world, representing a variety of technology areas including smart and sustainable building and lighting products. These products will be spread across two thematic zones: the Building Tech Zone and the Green City Zone. Furthermore, a comprehensive fringe programme will take place over the course of the three days to discuss the latest hot topics.

Building Tech Zone

The Building Tech Zone is dedicated to smart and interconnected building technologies for new construction projects, from building information management and lighting controls to sensors, IT systems, and more. Highlighted exhibitors include:

  • Alstern Technologies Singapore Pte Ltd, specialises in pipeline solutions including EPC turnkey services, emergency 24/7 leak response and smart maintenance for pipeline assembly, repair and reinforcement.
  • Aldagram Inc, a Japanese startup known for their KANNA project management software, designed to enhance efficiency and streamline project execution in construction firms.
  • Amornmongkol Co Ltd, offers a range of air and water solutions for various industries, including slip resistance products, self-cleaning water filters, and air and surface sanitisation systems for both commercial and residential use.
  • Richlux Co Ltd, specialises in heat-dissipating, energy-saving LED lighting fixtures suitable for indoor and outdoor use, as well as smart-sensor equipped residential mood lighting and shingled solar modules.
  • ICE LED Co Ltd, focused on providing energy-saving LED screens, lighting and controllers. Their offerings also include indoor/outdoor display screens and intelligent lighting solutions.

Green City Zone

This zone showcases sustainable solutions and technologies aimed at building sustainable urban spaces that align with Thailand’s net-zero targets. Products covered will include renewable energy, solar-powered street lighting and infrastructure as well as energy management solutions. Highlighted exhibitors include:

  • Jiangsu Ju Ming Lighting Electrical Appliance, recognised for their portfolio of both classic and contemporary street light designs, as well as a range of garden, lawn, and wall lights for industrial and commercial applications.
  • Jiangsu Haitong Traffic Group, is set to showcase their collection of traffic signal poles, multifunction poles, and smart street lights designed to interface with a web-based wireless control system for efficient monitoring and simplified lighting management.
  • Ligman Lighting Co Ltd will display a variety of high-efficiency, IoT-optimised outdoor and indoor lighting solutions, supporting the region’s smart city initiatives.
  • Jiangsu Sokoyo Solar Lighting will present a selection of all-in-one, all-in-two, traditional LED, and split-style solar street lights equipped with real-time monitoring capabilities and adjustable lighting time.

Navigate future trends at Future Building and Architecture Innovation 2024

The event’s fringe programme, Future Building and Architecture Innovation 2024, presented by Innovator X Forum, will gather industry experts, stakeholders, academics, and solution providers to explore a variety of issues and trends affecting the region’s building and lighting industries. The programme spans three days, with each focused on a different theme:

Future Trends of Design for the Property Sector 2024 (1 November)

Prominent architects and real estate developers will dissect the latest trends shaping residential and commercial property design, with topics including sustainability, smart office design, waste management, industrial estate development, and more.

Future Trends of Building & Architectural Design (2 November)

These sessions will challenge conventional building designs, exploring innovative concepts that can better accommodate inhabitants’ needs. Topics include advancements in glass technology, inclusive design, and selected case studies on a range of buildings that are advancing architecture’s creative potential and utility.

The Future of Net Zero Buildings (3 November)

On the final day, experts will discuss strategies for adapting building practices to reduce carbon footprints in step with Thailand’s net-zero emissions goals. Sessions will explore innovations in steel piles and bamboo materials, ecological architecture, and the introduction of a carbon cap prototype.

BEC Building Energy Code & Design – Secutech Stage (2 November)

There will also be a BEC Building Energy Code & Design seminar held on the second day of the fair at the Secutech Stage. The seminar will cover standards and design requirements for energy-efficient building systems and net zero buildings.
