Singapore – The Design League Cup held its inaugural ceremony on 21 February 2023 at the National Design Centre’s Level 2 Auditorium, comprising members of the organising committee from eight of Singapore’s design associations. Members of the design industry attended the ceremony to learn about the mission and objectives for the Design League Cup, which will be hosted annually.

Jointly organised by the Society of Interior Designers, Singapore, (SIDS), the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA), the Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS), the Singapore Institute of Planners (SIP), the Association of Advertising & Marketing Singapore (AAMS) and supported by ADMIRA, the event’s aim is to bring together Singapore’s eight design associations through participation in an uniting sport.

The Design League Cup Organising Committee shared details of its inaugural event, the Cycling Cup, which will take place on 15 April 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Changi Beach Park.

The Cycling Cup will be open to design association members and will provide an opportunity for attendees to network and create relationships with individuals in the design industry. Also, part of the event’s proceeds will benefit the charitable organisation Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charity (THKMC).

The Design League Cup is also an excellent opportunity for creative designers to network and make connections within the Singapore design community. A strong community of passionate designers can potentially lead to more partnerships and thus more innovation, allowing Singapore’s design environment to thrive.
